Episode 1, "Awakenings", chronicles the horrifying story of Emmett Till and the power of the Montgomery Bus Boycott.
Episode 2, "Fighting Back" is about the desegregation of schools, highlighting the Little Rock Nine/Central HS and James Meredith/U Mississippi
(we watched 15-20 minutes of Episode 2 in class)
Episode 3, "Ain't Scared of Your Jails" (above) covers SNCC, SCLC, the sit ins and freedom rides! (I recommend this one :)

John L. O'Sullivan was an American columnist and editor who used the term "Manifest Destiny" in 1845 to promote the annexation of Texas and the Oregon Country to the United States.
"The Great Nation of Futurity" is O'Sullivan's article that appeared in the United States Democratic Review in 1839 and explains the birth of the idea of this destiny.
